You Make the Difference

Securitas is its people, and the people are Securitas

You as a person

We take ownership, feel passion, keep it simple and walk the talk.

Closeup of a man looking away in the distance.
If Securitas was a person, with different parts of the body symbolizing different traits, then the head would symbolize ownership. Within the framework of our values and our strategy, we expect you to take ownership and act like Securitas was your own business.
Set aspirational goals for yourself and take accountability for those. The heart symbolizes the passion for our work, in that what we do is more than a job. Our passion to help make the world a safer place shines through in the way we work and the meaningful contribution our work makes to society.
The core represents our commitment to keep it simple. When you understand something really well, you keep it simple and find solutions – even if the task is far from simple. Finally, the legs symbolize how we stay firmly anchored on solid ground, lead by example, and walk the talk.

You as a leader

As a leader in Securitas, you share our strong values, drive performance, develop both yourself and others, and help make our strategy happen.

Three people in a meeting.
These four traits set you apart as someone invested in making a difference. When we break these down, we see that driving performance is about delivering on your daily tasks, which all feed into the company’s larger goals.
Developing yourself and others is about making sure we are all the best we can be, which enables us to achieve great things. Making our strategy happen is about taking the time and resources to invest in the future.

Driving performance

As if you were in the driver’s seat, you take ownership. With pride and passion, you go about your job as if you own the business, acting for the long-term good of the entire company. You know your numbers, as we’ll talk more about in Six Fingers.
By expecting excellence and going the extra mile, you make things happen. You build high-performing teams by understanding the importance of diversity and recognizing exceptional talent.
By building on our strengths and evaluating performance against aligned goals, you continually raise the bar. You take action to deliver real value to both clients and Securitas and to reach targets, ensuring both short-term performance and long-term value, delivering sustainable results.

Developing yourself and others

Begin with yourself first. This means you are respectful. Incorporating respect into your daily actions means you trust your colleagues and are supportive, considerate, and listen to new and different ideas. You communicate well with your team, are transparent, and own up to your mistakes, which takes courage, but gives back growth and respect.
You empower your team by engaging with them and encouraging them. By being curious, helpful and passionate, you lead by example and inspire others. You give and seek feedback on a regular basis, constantly coaching and supporting your team in their development.

Making our strategy happen

You actively seek the ”voice of the client” and inspiration from others to create new solutions and drive innovation. You inspire your team to be creative. With a healthy risk appetite, you seek opportunities and foster a balanced and confident “fail fast, learn quickly” culture.
You embrace “One Securitas”, collaborate, and handle conflict constructively, striving to build support from others. In order to tackle new challenges and achieve our shared goals, you value diverse perspectives because there is power in diversity of thought.

You as part of a team

Our success starts with you as an individual and spreads throughout the organization.

Our success starts with you as an individual and spreads throughout the organization. As we support and encourage the growth of you, each member of our larger Securitas family, you become the best version of yourself. Only then can you realize your full potential. Once that happens, we come together as a team to leverage our strengths and passions together. A team can create more together than many individuals alone.

What future do you see for yourself at Securitas?

A heart with the text We help make your world a safer space.
Being part of Securitas is more than a job. We are passionate about what we do and proud of how we work together to make the world a safer place for our clients. We all make a difference - you, me and all of our colleagues. We look after each other so that together we can look after our clients.
Once you become part of our family, you belong. When you join us, we want you to feel welcome and part of the family, so we work hard to create an inclusive environment where we listen to you and treat you fairly. One way we do this is by first committing to equal pay, safe working conditions and equal opportunities for everyone.
By ensuring we all have the same foundation and same opportunity to grow, we provide an environment where we can all become our best selves. To make sure we stay on the right track, we measure and follow up on what matters to you and your wellbeing.
Working at Securitas is meaningful whether you are an experienced colleague or have just started your first job ever. We believe we become stronger as a company when we grow from within, which opens the door to many development opportunities here. We encourage and support you to make your mark, continue to learn and grow, and become a vital part of a company which helps make the world a safer place.
A watch

Take a few minutes to reflect on the following questions:

How have you or someone around you made a difference in your work?

You Make the Difference

Now you know that Securitas is its people and the people are Securitas.

We are a people business. At Securitas you make the difference. When you join our family, you become part of a unique company and team. We cherish the diverse perspectives and value each and every one of us brings. What unites us is the passion we feel about our work and the pride we take in the meaningful role we have in society.
We expect everyone to live our values, take ownership, keep it simple and walk the talk. That way, we develop both ourselves and others – and make a difference.
